Modulr partners with Workforce.com to transform payroll payments
London, 11th March, 2025: Embedded payments leader, Modulr, today announces its partnership with Workforce.com, the all-in-one workforce management platform – marking a significant advancement in payroll payment automation. By connecting Modulr's Faster Payments capabilities with Workforce.com's comprehensive workforce management platform, payroll processes will be significantly simpler, while ensuring businesses remain compliant with UK employment legislation.
Currently, 23% of accountancy firms struggle to efficiently provide payroll services, according to recent research by Modulr. Firms are spending over three hours per week on basic tasks – including reconciling accounts (46%), managing payment issues (46%) and manual data entry (45%). With nearly two-thirds (68%) expecting treasury and payroll related services to increase even more within the next five years.
This partnership will enable businesses to process payments up to 80% faster through embedded payments technology, eliminating manual BACS file handling. Workforce.com handles the calculations for all payments – including to staff, suppliers, and HMRC – while Modulr processes those payments securely in minutes, helping businesses to ensure that staff are paid accurately and without delays. Businesses will be able to leverage employee time and attendance data within the same system they use to run payroll for the first time. Therefore, removing the potential for incorrect pay entirely.
Available as a user-friendly mobile app for instant payments and on-the-go approvals, key features of this integration include:
- Real-time payment processing through Faster Payments
- Automated payroll data transfer to Modulr's payment platform
- Unified platform to reduce manual errors
- HMRC-recognised solution for payroll payments
"This partnership with Workforce.com represents a crucial step in our mission to become the UK's primary payroll payments platform” says Steve Bradford, Managing Director of Channel and Strategic Partnerships at Modulr. “We will be continuing to expand our software partnerships over the next year, moving closer to our goal of transforming the business payments landscape for the benefit of every business."
Will Morley, UK General Manager at Workforce.com says; “We couldn't be more excited about the benefits this integration will bring our customers. By combining Workforce.com’s all-in-one platform with Modulr’s fast payment processing, we’re making payroll smoother, quicker, and so much more reliable. Businesses can now get payments to employees on time, every time, without wasting hours on manual processes. It’s all about making payroll more efficient and life easier for businesses so they can focus on what really matters.”
